well, I am on my second trip… had it once 6 years or so ago, and came on strong this morning. At least I knew what it was and rushed to the doctor for antiviral meds, and corticosteroids.
Advil helps with the pain, and for me, it seems to help with mobility.

Nomzamo,
I totally agree with you. It’s scary when you cannot even blink your eye or smile effortlessly. My doctor just give me b complex vitamins and advised me to massage the affected area in circular motion. I was able to recover from it faster than I thought it would. I’m glad that you’re getting better everyday.
